2. Nitric oxide carrier flow = (nitric oxide ppm × base flow) / (800 − nitric oxide ppm)

3. Mixed flow before sampling = base flow + nitric oxide carrier flow

4. Final oxygen fraction = (mixer oxygen fraction × base flow) / mixed flow before sampling

5. Final oxygenator flow = mixed flow before sampling − 0.23 L/min, if sample loss is subtracted

Assumes an 800 ppm nitric oxide in nitrogen source, with the added carrier stream containing no oxygen.
