  • Scalpel (11-blade)
  • Forceps, non-toothed
  • Needle holders or artery forceps
  • Scissors (blunt/blunt)
  • Galli-pots

General

  • Disposable absorbent underpad (bluey, inko, chux, etc)
  • Syringe 20mL
  • Syringe 5mL
  • Needle for local anaesthetic (25G)
  • Needle for drawing up
  • Gauze 10cm x 10cm (x5-10)

IF Collecting Samples

  • Specimen jar
  • Swab on a stick
  • Glass slide
  • Swab with transport medium (i.e. charcoal)

Drugs

  • 0.9% sodium chloride 50mL
  • Chlorhexidine 2% or Povidone-iodine
  • Lidocaine 1% with adrenaline

Post-Procedure

  • Haemostasis
  • Drained and/or packed
  • Dressing
